We only collect what we need to do our job — respond to your enquiry, design your system, and stay in touch. This page describes what data we hold, why, and the rights you have over it under EU and Cypriot law.
This website is a static set of pages — there's no login, no comments, no user accounts, no advertising trackers. The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to send us through one of two contact forms. We use that data to reply to you and, if you become a customer, to design and deliver your project.
If at any point you want to know what we hold about you, change it, or delete it — write to info@elektraenergycy.com. We'll respond within one working day.
The data controller for any personal information you provide through this website is JKL Sustainable Cyprus Ltd, trading as Elektra Energy, registered in the Republic of Cyprus under company number HE 425897, with registered office at Charoupion 1, Skarinou 7731, Cyprus.
We design and install grid-tied and off-grid solar energy systems with battery storage across Cyprus. Our website address is https://elektraenergycy.com. For any privacy-related enquiry, write to info@elektraenergycy.com.
We collect personal data in only two situations: when you fill in the contact form on the Contact page, or the off-grid intake form.
The fields on those forms ask for: your name, email address, phone number (optional), city or village, the type of project you're considering, and any free-text notes you choose to include. The intake form also asks operational questions about your site (structure type, roof type, household size, availability for a survey).
We do not automatically log IP addresses, set tracking cookies, use Google Analytics, run advertising pixels, or embed third-party content that profiles you.
Your data is used for one of three purposes:
Our legal basis under GDPR is consent (you chose to submit the form), and where relevant contractual necessity (we need your details to fulfil the work you've engaged us to do).
To run the website and our business we use a small number of trusted service providers, each acting as a data processor under our instructions:
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party for marketing or any other purpose.
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Enquiry data is typically retained for up to three years. If you become a customer, we keep your project records for the operating life of your system and for the period required by Cypriot tax, accounting and consumer-protection law.
You may request deletion of your data at any time — see "Your rights" below.
You have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Cypriot Personal Data Protection Law:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@elektraenergycy.com. We'll respond within one calendar month at no cost.
Some of our service providers — including Web3Forms and our website host — may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers to jurisdictions covered by a current EU adequacy decision.
You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by emailing info@elektraenergycy.com.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorised disclosure — including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on our email, and a deliberately minimal data footprint.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours private. If we ever become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection and you, where required, in accordance with our GDPR obligations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — to reflect changes in our practices, the services we use, or the law. The current version is always published on this page with the date of last update. We encourage you to review it periodically.
Last updated: May 2026.
