The Technology

The sun
never bills.

With technology currently commercially available, you can cost-effectively generate electricity with solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and store this energy for use at night with lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Unlike outdated lead-acid systems still used by many Cypriot installers, LiFePO₄ batteries deliver 100% depth of discharge, contain no toxic lead or sulphuric acid, and last decades — not years.

Our Story

Two life partners.
One island worth electrifying.

JKL Sustainable Cyprus, trading as Elektra Energy, began as the dream of co-founders Kathryn Savvides Reodica and Jerald Reodica.

We aim to be a leading renewable energy integrator on the island by combining experience in green construction, real estate, luxury sales and client relations — with deep technical knowledge from building two megawatts of solar PV in California.

We are not the loudest installer on the island. We are the one that turns up, listens, designs the system around you, and stands behind it for the next twenty-five years.

Managing Director

Cypriot-born, a multi-disciplinary professional with a background in real estate, local government, community building, and luxury sales. A lifelong passion for sustainability projects and climate action on the island where she was born and raised.

Jerald Reodica

Technical Director

Former Tesla and SolarCity solar trainer, multimedia developer, and licensed residential electrician. Personally participated in and led the installation of over 2 megawatts of solar PV in California. Award of Excellence, STC International Summit (2017).
